IntelliCasa Safe Contractor approved for Health and Safety

IntelliCasa is now once again Safe Contractor approved by Alcumus SafeContractor for Health and Safety in business operations. The company was accredited for Health and Safety back in 2018 for its core business in electrical installations, but as the business grew significantly over the last four years and our range of services has increased, new requirements from our clients and the industry, led us to achieve accreditation in various kinds of building services in the following categories:



  • Access Control: Access Control, Door Entry Systems Installation / Maintenance, Intercom Entry Systems, Installation / Maintenance

  • Audio Visual Equipment Services: Audio Visual Equipment Installation / Maintenance

  • BMS Control Systems: BMS Control Systems

  • CCTV : CCTV Installation / Maintenance

  • Computer Network Services & Software: Wi-Fi Network Installation

  • Security Systems Installation: Security Systems Installation / Maintenance

Health and safety policies aim to ensure that appropriate safety management practices are in place and that the business is compliant with regulations. Prior to awarding work, clients will require contractors undertaking work for them to provide an appropriate health and safety policy. It’s a legal requirement in the UK to have a written health and safety policy detailing your organisation’s approach to the management of health and safety if you employ five or more people in your business.





The Safety Schemes in Procurement (SSIP) and PAS91 contractor accreditation scheme ensures that IntelliCasa meets the necessary requirements for health and safety, equal opportunities, diversity, and environmental management practices so that our clients are confident about the quality of our services and procedures followed, while reducing risk in their supply chain.


As per the Health and Safety at Work Act of 1974 (HSWA), it is the employer's responsibility to maintain the health, safety, and welfare of their employees to the greatest extent practically feasible. IntelliCasa provides Risk Assessment and Method Statements (RAMs) to satisfy the company's health and safety obligations on each project by identifying all workplace hazards and taking appropriate steps to mitigate them.




As a business, we have a legal obligation to protect our workers and the general public from any potential risks when doing work. IntelliCasa's SafeContractor certification assures that we have all necessary insurances for our industry, such as public liability, employer's liability, and professional indemnity, providing clients confidence that we are capable and have the cover in place to meet their pre-qualification requirements. Moreover, our sustainability verification runs alongside our current SafeContractor accreditation at the Sustainability Silver level.




The company's SafeContractor accreditation will enhance the company’s ability to win new contracts, and its commitment to safety will be viewed positively by its insurers when the company's liability policy is up for renewal.
